Teri Burns joined the Fellows of the Institute for Healthy Singing & Voice Research in November 2023. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, she earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University in Chicago.
Since establishing her practice in Kansas City in 1989, she has specialized in the assessment and treatment of voice, upper airway, and swallowing disorders. A dedicated advocate for the arts and professional voice care, she uses that expertise in service to the community.
