D. Ross Kimbrough

Ross was born in Arcadia, California, and grew up in a U.S. Forest Service family, living in Sitka, Alaska, and Vernal, Utah, where he graduated from Uintah High School. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 1996. Throughout high school and college he was involved with band, choirs, and musicals, playing euphonium.
He began singing in church before grade school. He and his wife Amanda sing in the church choir and worship team at Shawnee Church of the Nazarene and previously sang with the Northland Community Choir, a Park University-sponsored community group. They joined the Summer Singers of Kansas City before auditioning for the William Baker Festival Singers. Ross was appointed to the Festival Singers in 2011 and has served in many leadership roles.
He is employed by Aetna as an IT Acquisitions Buyer. Away from singing and work he cooks, travels, and volunteers with a prison ministry outreach band, the Mike Wheeler Band. Elected to the Board of Trustees in 2012, he led recruitment of LogixStreet, LLC to revamp the Foundation’s websites, the ensembles’ presence on iTunes, and e-commerce and online marketing programs.
