Rebekah Ankrom-Baker has performed throughout the United States and Europe on opera and musical theater stages. She earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from North Central College and the Master of Music in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory. A voice and piano teacher, she also directs operas and musicals and works with youth and adult choirs.

Trained in pregnancy and postpartum athleticism, she specializes in voice work with this population of women and holds certifications through pelvic-health professionals and sports physical therapists. She works with colleague Addie Holzman, a pelvic-floor physical therapist, designing research and programming for women.

She is a Ph.D. student at the University of Kansas in Vocal/Choral Pedagogy through the Music Education/Music Therapy Department, working with voice colleagues, speech pathologists, ENTs, midwives, and otolaryngologists to assist singers in all stages of life, including pelvic-floor health research for pregnancy and postpartum singing and athletics. She joined the Institute for Healthy Singing as a fellow in 2022.
